Overcoming challenges for Smart Cities
Cities are responsible for 75 per cent of global energy consumption and 80 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions. The creation of Smart Cities (using ICT enabled technologies) has the potential to dramatically cut greenhouse gas emissions and improve the quality of urban areas.
Following the Partnership for Urban Innovation event on June 17th in Shanghai Expo, this webinar will highlight key messages from the conference, explain what a Smart City is, what challenges need to be overcome and what businesses and governments can do to accelerate the deployment on ICT climate solutions in urban environments.
